A single café, shop or clinic with up to 30 people

The Starter plan

One site, one rota, everyone on their phone. For small teams moving off a spreadsheet or a paper grid on the back of the door.

Everything in Starter

  • Drag-and-drop weekly rota with templates by day part
  • Staff app for iOS and Android, plus text-message shifts
  • Shift swaps and open shifts, approved by you
  • Time-off requests with cover shown before you say yes
  • CSV export of hours, rotas and people
  • Chat support seven days a week

Starter is the rota and nothing you do not need yet. You build the week on a laptop, publish it, and every person on it gets their shifts on their phone within a minute. When somebody cannot make a shift they offer it to colleagues who are trained for it, and the swap comes to you for one tap.

It is priced per person rostered in the month — £2.50 each, with no base fee — so a ten-person café pays £25 and a quiet January costs less than December. Staff who are on leave or not rostered are free.

What you will notice first

The questions stop. Nobody texts to ask what time they are on Friday, because the answer is on their phone and it is always the current version. Most Starter teams tell us that is worth the price on its own before they ever touch the time-off or swap features.

When to move up

Starter covers one location and up to 30 people. If you want staff to clock in, need timesheets to go straight into payroll, or open a second site, the Team plan adds all three — and once you pass about 20 people it is usually the cheaper plan anyway. The calculator on the pricing page shows the crossover for your team size.

“Payroll used to take our bookkeeper most of Monday. The export goes straight into her software and she checks it over a coffee.”
