Terms of service

The service
Midshift Software Ltd provides Midshift, an online service for building rotas, managing shift swaps and time off, recording clock-ins and exporting hours to payroll. These terms apply to every business account and to anyone using it on that business's behalf.
Trial and plans
New accounts get a 30-day trial with no payment details required. After the trial, continued use needs a paid plan. Plans are billed monthly in advance (or annually, at ten months' price) for the people rostered in the previous month, plus any base fee. Prices exclude VAT.
Cancelling
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time from the billing page and end at the close of the current billing month. Annual plans can be cancelled for the end of the paid year. We do not charge exit fees.
Your data
You own everything you put into Midshift. You can export it as CSV at any time, and for 90 days after your account closes. We process it only to provide the service, under the data processing agreement that forms part of these terms.
Availability
We aim for 99.9% monthly availability and publish our status at the foot of every page. If we miss that in a month, contact us for a service credit of 10% of that month's fee.
Liability
Midshift calculates hours and rates from the rules you set; you remain responsible for checking and approving payroll. Our total liability in any year is limited to the fees you paid in that year, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction.
